All-Purpose Spice Blend (Base Recipe)

This blend can be used on its own, or it can be
used as a base for other seasonings.

5 teaspoons onion powder
2½ teaspoons garlic powder
2½ teaspoons paprika
2½ teaspoons dried mustard
1½ teaspoons dried thyme
½ teaspoon white pepper
¼ teaspoon celery seed

Turn up the Heat

Base Recipe +
Add any combination of the following:

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon black pepper

Crisp & Fresh

Base Recipe +
Add any combination of the following:

1 teaspoon dill
½ teaspoon lemon zest
1 teaspoon rosemary
2 teaspoons parsley
2 teaspoons oregano
1 teaspoon basil

 

Mexican

Base Recipe +

1 teaspoon cilantro
2 teaspoons red cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons cumin

Indian or African

Base Recipe +

2 teaspoons curry powder
1 teaspoon ginger
2 teaspoons turmeric
2 teaspoons cumin
½ teaspon cardamom

Italian

Base Recipe +

2 teaspoons oregano
2 teaspoons basil
1 teaspoon rosemary
1 teaspoon sage
2 teaspoons marjoram

Fall Spice Blend

When looking for an added touch of sweetness to a food or dessert, try this Fall Spice Blend—goes great on items such as yogurt, oatmeal, soups, and even frozen yogurt or ice cream.

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1½ tablespoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 teaspoon ground cloves
