MCHCP provides appeal rights as required by law.
The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA), a federal law, requires MCHCP to offer temporary coverage to members when coverage under the plan would otherwise end. Special COBRA enrollment deadlines and premiums apply.
Benefits payable by MCHCP medical plans are subject to coordination of benefits to prevent overlapping payments and claim delays.
Most MCHCP forms are available through the Public Entity Human Resources or Payroll office.
